Terms of service

These terms govern your use of SKAVON ([legal entity to be confirmed], operating at skavon.in). By creating an account or purchasing a service, you agree to them.

1. Acceptance

Using SKAVON's website, dashboard, or services means you accept these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be able to form a binding contract to create an account. You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Tell us immediately at support@skavon.in if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Domain registration, renewal, and transfer

Domain registrations are processed through SKAVON's upstream registrar partner and are subject to that registrar's and the relevant domain registry's rules, which SKAVON does not control. Registration information you provide must be accurate - inaccurate WHOIS/registrant details can result in suspension by the registry, not by SKAVON's choice. Renewal is your responsibility: SKAVON may send reminders but a domain that isn't renewed in time can expire and, depending on the registry, become unrecoverable. Transfers in or out are subject to the losing/gaining registrar's standard transfer rules (e.g. authorization codes, transfer locks).

4. DNS and nameservers

SKAVON does not currently operate DNS hosting. You may optionally supply your own nameservers at registration; if you don't, your domain registers with the registry's standard default and you can point it at your own DNS or hosting provider at any time from your dashboard. SKAVON does not manage DNS records on your behalf.

5. SKAVON Care (monitoring)

SKAVON Care checks your website's availability, SSL certificate status, DNS records, and related signals on a periodic schedule and sends alerts when something changes. It is a monitoring and notification service - it does not itself fix, host, or guarantee the uptime of your website. Free-tier accounts are limited to one monitored website; SKAVON Care removes that limit.

6. Payments, pricing, and taxes

Payments are processed by Razorpay. SKAVON does not store your card or bank details - see our Privacy policy. Prices shown at checkout are final for that purchase; renewal pricing may differ from first-year/introductory pricing and is shown before you confirm a renewal. SKAVON currently operates as an individual, not GST-registered - no GST is separately itemized on invoices as a result. This will be updated here if that status changes.

7. Cancellations and refunds

See the full Refund policy. In short: domain registration/renewal/transfer refund eligibility depends on the upstream registry and registrar and is often limited or unavailable once a registration request has been submitted; SKAVON Care subscriptions can be cancelled anytime with access continuing through the paid period.

8. Suspension and termination

SKAVON may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms or the Acceptable use policy, including for fraud, abuse, or illegal activity. Domain registrations already active with the registry are not automatically deleted by an account suspension - registry-level actions follow registry rules, not SKAVON's account status alone.

9. Prohibited use

You may not use SKAVON to register or point domains at content that is illegal, fraudulent, or infringing, or to abuse SKAVON's monitoring infrastructure (e.g. using it to attack third parties). Full detail in the Acceptable use policy linked above.

10. Third-party providers

SKAVON relies on third parties to deliver parts of the service: a domain registrar/reseller for registration and DNS-adjacent functionality, and Razorpay for payment processing. Their own terms and availability apply to the parts of the service they provide; SKAVON is not liable for their outages, but will communicate honestly when they affect you.

11. Service availability

SKAVON is provided on an "as available" basis. We do not currently publish a formal uptime SLA. Real-time status is visible at /status.

12. Limitation of liability and disclaimers

SKAVON's services are provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law. SKAVON is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of a domain due to registry action, non-renewal, or third-party provider failure, beyond amounts actually paid to SKAVON for the affected service in the preceding 12 months.

13. Intellectual property

The SKAVON name, mark, and website content belong to SKAVON. Domain names you register belong to you, subject to registry rules.

14. Changes to these terms

SKAVON may update these terms as the service changes. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of [jurisdiction to be confirmed].
